We started off with a large pod of <span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/atlantic-spotted-dolphin.html\">spotted dolphins<\/a><\/span> who visit us here in the summertime when the water is warm enough for them. They had lots of babies as well! As the water is around 20 degrees, it is ideal for their babies. We had some neonates as well, which are new-borns who still have the foetal folds. We had a pod of about 300 spotted dolphins.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\"><br \/>Then we headed towards the <span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/sperm-whale.html\">sperm whales<\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\">, <\/span> and we managed to identify the social unit, we saw 3 sperm whales from the blue unit (Tonga, Lala, and Surfista), and one from the red unit (Diamond).&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; They were really active, socializing and bow riding and making all the children on board really happy. This time, we just saw individuals from the red unit. All the individuals were different from the morning; left top, bear paw, and Orca with a calf. They were in a good mood, approaching the boat and showing their flukes!
