\nThis afternoon we went out on the water to start the new year with some nice dolphin encounters. We did not have to travel far today as we had a group of common dolphins<\/a>, followed by some bottlenose dolphins<\/a> just outside the marina in Ponta Delgada, where we depart from. The common dolphins were beautiful as usual, gliding through the ocean with ease and darting back and forth in front of the bows of our boats. The bottlenose dolphins seemed more interested in feeding and they were spending little time at the surface. Later into the tour cloud and rain closed in on us so we returned to land wet, but happy with our encounters nonetheless.<\/div>\n
