{"id":1270,"date":"2015-06-12T14:31:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-12T14:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/12\/breachings-and-flukes\/"},"modified":"2019-11-22T22:33:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T22:33:45","slug":"breachings-and-flukes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/breachings-and-flukes\/","title":{"rendered":"Breachings and flukes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nToday we passed to groups of dolphins, both <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">common<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bottlenose<\/a>, as we were heading towards a <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/sperm-whale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sperm whale<\/a> family. We arrived and could see blows far away. We encountered many females from this group and one of them gave us an extra show by breaching several times. Probably she needed to &#8220;release pressure&#8221; as we could see some brownish water and when we dived she also released some poop. With one of the whales we had <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a><span id=\"goog_116299637\"><\/span><span id=\"goog_116299638\"><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blogger.com\/\"><\/a> around. On our way back we stopped for both the <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">common dolphins<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a>, which had lots of new born babies.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a
