We had a pod of bottlenose dolphins and sperm whales around! The sperm whales were popping up at the surface, and the dolphins joined the sperm whales. This allowed us to directly compare the sperm whale size to the bottlenose dolphins. Bottlenose dolphins can reach 4 meters, and the female sperm whales up to 12m. Our first sighting was one sperm whale but fast we realized that was not the only one in the area. The group was not very big but was still possible to distinguish the adult individual, full of spots, from the juveniles, with no spots. The group of sperm whales in the morning belong to the white group!
