We found around 13 whales nearby each other at surface.&nbsp;&nbsp;This social moment included some \u2018dances\u2019 around each other while rolling underwater, tail slapping, head outside the surface with open jaws. It was an incredible opportunity to be near them.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2-calfsnout.jpg.png\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"600\" data-original-width=\"401\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2-calfsnout.jpg.png\" width=\"426\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4-8.png\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"600\" data-original-width=\"900\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4-8.png\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">On other tours, we follow their sounds and found two lonely <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/sperm-whale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\">sperm whales<\/span><\/a>. They were foraging quite far out from the coast, on an Oceanic bench southward from Pico that most probably is full of yummy squids for them!
