Glassy sea, amazing visibility and the cold fresh air of the Azores. And to top it all off, our cetaceans have great surprises for us.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">As yesterday we found a small pod of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a><\/span> close to the harbour who were very shy and doing some long dives.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/1-4.png\"><img src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/1-4.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"600\" data-original-width=\"900\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">We continued our trip as our lookouts told us a feast was going on outside of Vila Franca with hundreds of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\">common dolphins<\/a><\/span> and soon after a <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/sei-whale.html\">Sei whale<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span> joined the pod to try and feed also.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/4-4.png\"><img src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/4-4.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"600\" data-original-width=\"900\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2-4.png\"><img src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/2-4.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"600\" data-original-width=\"900\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">We saw a lot of schooling fish trying to hide under our boat as dolphins swim past us to snatch a single fish. We turned our attention away from the dolphins to see the whale as it just came for air and kept on swimming in circles.
