Winter feeling after some hot weather

We started the day with a beautiful intense double rainbow as the sun rays broke through the rain. We sailed between the white caps and found a group of Atlantic spotted dolphins. After a short while they decided to ride our bow waves and we could perfectly spot their spots. Some at least were covered in spots while the younger generation is still waiting to get them.

Not to far away we had an even bigger aggregation of an even rarer seen dolphins species – the striped dolphins.

All around we could see sprints of this nicely designed animals. Displaying their lines alongside their elegant and acrobatic bodies. Before returning to Ponta Delgada we had a short encounter with a shark and three sperm whales.
