Today was another fantastic day in the company of migrating baleen whales and our resident dolphins. In the morning we all encountered a big blue whale together with fin whales (the two largest animals in the world) while from one of our boats the third largest, a sei whale was also seen. In the afternoon we resighted a fin whale that was very calm and curious. As for the dolphins, we enjoyed the company of bottlenose dolphins throughout the day and added common dolphins and Risso’s dolphins to our list for the afternoon. So, 6 species in one day which is great!
