HALF DAY
LAJES DO PICO

HALF DAY
SWIM WITH DOLPHINS IN PICO ISLAND

Dolphins are considered to be one of the most intelligent species on earth. They have a excellent memory and they have a complex communication system.

Ready to swim and listen to this beautiful creatures? To communicate dolphins use clicking sounds. In the Azores there can be seen up to six dolphin species, although they are wild animals that live on their natural habitat they do interact with us humans quite a lot.

This adventure starts in Lajes do Pico harbor on a zodiac boat in groups of a few people so it can be done safely and comfortably. On land you will have a briefing done by a marine biologist or a nature guide that will explain some details about what to expect. They will explain how to get into the water, how to interact with the dolphins and how to use the snorkel mask. Normally in each tour you can dive two to three times. This is definitely a unique experience.
